Restart-up Research Funding

In 2015, with Nagasaki University’s selection to participate in the “Initiative for the Implementation of the Diversity  Research Environment”, Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST)/Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), it has been decided to provide research funding grants for the purpose of promoting or reducing the financial burden of research activities to enable researchers to continue their careers in the case that they have been forced to temporarily interrupt their careers and later resume their research activities following a life event (childbirth, child-rearing, nursing care, etc.).
Due to prenatal / postnatal leave, childcare leave, nursing care leave, nursing care leave, and sick leave, research activities are unavoidably interrupted for three consecutive months or more, and the qualifications for use such as being a researcher within 12 months after returning are required. Those who meet are eligible.
