Report on the Survey Regarding the Assessment of Care Needs
We are pleased to announce the publication of the “Survey Report on Caregiving Situations: Toward the Development of Systems to Support the Balance Between Work and Caregiving.”
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the faculty and staff members who participated in this survey, which was conducted in June 2015. Copies are available free of charge to those who wish to receive one (limited to Nagasaki University faculty and staff); please contact the Diversity Promotion Center.

Case Studies on Balancing Work and Caregiving
We have published a collection of case studies based on information gathered from faculty and staff at Nagasaki University who have successfully balanced work and caregiving. Using this data, we have created fictional scenarios to summarize the challenges faced when continuing to work while providing care, along with strategies for addressing them.
“WORK AND NURSING CARE – A Collection of Case Studies on Balancing Work and Caregiving” provides information designed to support faculty and staff who are currently caregivers or who feel anxious about the prospect of becoming one.
Whether you are currently providing care or not, we encourage you to use this resource to develop a clear vision of how to balance work and caregiving and to make advance preparations, thereby alleviating concerns about having to leave your job due to caregiving responsibilities.
Copies are available free of charge to those who wish to receive them. Please contact the Diversity Promotion Center.
